- The Tropical Gardening Group provides information on tropical flower gardening, floral
arrangements, featured flowers each month and road trips to local flower gardens and
facilities. The group meets once a month to share knowledge about gardening in Costa Rica
at meetings or places of interest to the members of the group. A monthly newsletter is
emailed to members of this group.
- Book Club in English shares an interest in reading books written in English. The group
discusses and compares thoughts and insights on the book chosen for the month. This group
provides a great way to exercise the mind.
- Book Club in Spanish shares an interest in reading books written in Spanish. The group
discusses and compares thoughts and insights on the book chosen for the month. A perfect
way to practice the Spanish language as well as exercise the mind.
- The Cooking Newsletter provides a collection of cooking techniques, delicious recipes,
and wonderful cooking tips in a newsletter each month to those who sign up.
- Cooking Groups 1-4 share techniques and different cuisines by meeting at the various
members homes to create great meals. The popularity of these groups testifies to the
great times had by all...they generally fill up rapidly.
- The ExperCooking Group was originally called the Experimental Cooking Group. The focus
of this group is to try new ideas and ways of preparing foods. A great way to learn lots of
new things about cooking different cuisines.
- The Out to Lunch Bunch provides a wonderful way to socialize and learn about new
places to eat out in Costa Rica. Informative and fun at the same time, a field trip worth
the effort with a new restaurant each month.
- The Out to Dinner Group provides a wonderful way to socialize and learn about new
places to dine out with a twist. Spouses and friends are welcome to join in the fun
exploring the social scene in Costa Rica.
- The Golf Outing Group provides a great opportunity to indulge in golf, gain friends with
the same interests and get some great exercise at the same time.
- The Horseriding Group for outdoor animal lovers. Scheduled rides are a great way to
become acquainted with the breathtaking beauty and lovely weather of Costa Rica.
- Latin Dancing Group provides the ultimate exercise. The addictive beat of latin music
gives the perfect opportunity to satisfy the need for musical fulfillment while enjoying the
company of others with similar interests.
